Eva Colás is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at MiMARK Diagnostics, a Barcelona-based femtech spinoff pioneering gynecological fluid-based diagnostics to transform women's cancer care.

A biologist by training, Eva earned her PhD at Hospital Universitari de la Vall d'Hebron in 2011 and went on to lead her own research team at the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Research (VHIR) from 2017, dedicating over 16 years to endometrial cancer research.

Eva has been instrumental in advancing biomarker discovery in gynecological fluids and co-developed one of the largest endometrial cancer patient-derived xenograft (PDX) biobanks in Europe.

She served as Principal Investigator of the Biomedical Research in Gynaecology group at VHIR and previously completed postdoctoral research at the Institut de Recerca Biomedica de Lleida, building deep expertise in molecular diagnostics and personalized medicine.

MiMARK has raised over 4.2M EUR in seed funding and won the EIT Health Wild Card 2020 award (1.5M EUR); its flagship product WomEC achieves 99% sensitivity in endometrial cancer detection, with Eva and co-founder Marina Rigau recognized as Top 1 Women Entrepreneurs in Catalonia by EAE Business School.
