Hadrien Bernard

Hadrien Bernard is a Co-Founder and Software Engineer at Alta Ares, a French defense tech startup developing AI-powered drone interceptors and embedded intelligence solutions for military use.
Hadrien studied engineering at ISEN (Ecole d'ingenieurs des Hautes Technologies et du Numerique) and previously held roles at Worldline, bringing strong software development expertise to the defense sector.
As one of five co-founders, Hadrien contributes deep software engineering skills to Alta Ares, helping build AI platforms that operate autonomously without internet or cloud connectivity in active conflict zones.
Alta Ares has raised a total of 52 million euros across a seed round and a Series A of 50 million euros led by Air Street Capital, with participation from Cherry Ventures, OTB Ventures, and Harpoon Ventures.
Alta Ares interceptors are actively deployed in Ukraine and the Middle East, the company won the NATO Innovation Challenge 2025, and its technology has been validated by NATO in live exercises in Germany and Arctic conditions.
