Hans Brons is CEO of Phosphoenix, an Amsterdam-based MedTech startup developing a groundbreaking neuroprosthetic system to restore functional vision for people living with profound blindness.

An MBA graduate from the University of Tilburg, Hans brings over 12 years of leadership experience in corporate environments and 17 years as CEO across start-up and scale-up companies in international settings.

Hans has deep expertise at the clinical-technical-business interface, with a proven track record of building top-performing teams and successfully raising capital and subsidies for deep-tech ventures.

Prior to Phosphoenix, Hans served as CEO of Medis Medical Imaging Systems, where he led a strategic acquisition of cardiovascular imaging firm AMID, and previously held CEO roles at Nemo Healthcare and MyVitality Company.

Phosphoenix has secured over 1.3M EUR in its latest financing round, won a 2.5M EUR EIC Transition grant, and is now advancing toward its first-in-human clinical study in collaboration with Amsterdam UMC.
