Isobel Sheldon

Dr. Isobel Sheldon OBE DSc (h.c.) is Co-Founder and Global CEO of Western CAM Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of lithium iron phosphate cathode active materials (LFP CAM) pioneering the reshoring of critical battery supply chains to America.
A 26-year veteran of the battery industry, Isobel was awarded an OBE by Queen Elizabeth II for her contributions to electric vehicle battery development, and has held senior leadership roles at Johnson Matthey, Cummins Inc., Britishvolt, and the UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC).
Isobel brings deep international commercial experience spanning engagements across China (CATARC, JAC, GAC) and Japan, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The Faraday Institution.
At Western CAM, she has led the company from inception through initial LFP sample production, secured its first offtake Letter of Intent with a U.S. customer, and attracted former CATL CTO Bob Galyen to the Board of Directors.
Western CAM has raised over $2.6M in early funding and is advancing plans for a large-scale U.S. CAM manufacturing facility, positioning itself as a critical enabler of American energy independence and the domestic battery value chain.
