Johanna Grönroos

Johanna Grönroos is Co-Founder and CEO of Reduciner, a Finnish deep tech startup commercializing a breakthrough thermochemical process that converts captured CO2 into sustainable fuels and industrial raw materials.
Johanna is an experienced business leader with a strong background in strategy, finance, and sustainability consulting, having held senior roles at Lamor Corporation and Efima, where she led advisory services in finance and sustainable business transformation.
Johanna champions a pragmatic approach to decarbonization, believing that sustainability impacts must be achieved profitably from day one, without forcing industries to rebuild costly infrastructure.
As CEO, Johanna co-founded Reduciner alongside Eemeli Tsupari and Sampsa Vuori, spinning the company out of VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland in 2025 and securing a EUR 3.6M seed round from Voima Ventures, Lifeline Ventures, and the Mikko Kodisoja Foundation.
Reduciner is targeting hard-to-abate sectors including cement, steel, lime, and pulp, with its first 1MW industrial-scale pilot facility planned in Finland and international expansion targeted before 2030.
