Jorge Heraud

Jorge Heraud is Co-Founder and CEO of TerraBlaster, a California-based agtech startup deploying NASA-derived laser technology to revolutionize real-time soil nutrient mapping for row-crop farmers.
Jorge studied at Stanford University and spent over a decade in precision agriculture at Trimble, before co-founding Blue River Technology and later serving as VP of Automation and Autonomy at John Deere.
Jorge is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished operators in ag robotics, with a career spanning precision agriculture, machine learning, robotics, and large-scale commercialization of deep tech.
After Blue River Technology was acquired by John Deere in 2017 in one of agtech's landmark deals, Jorge spent seven years as VP of Automation and Autonomy at Deere before transitioning to advise agtech startups including RootWave and Agton.
TerraBlaster has raised $16.5M in total funding, with its Blaster 1000 system enabling farmers to generate an average of $45 per acre in combined cost savings and yield improvements through precision nutrient application.
