Juri Volodin

Juri Volodin is Co-Founder and CEO of Spiral Hydrogen, an Estonian-Dutch deep-tech startup pioneering centrifugal bubble-free electrolysis to make green hydrogen cheaper than fossil-based alternatives.
Juri comes from a multigenerational family of engineers and physicists, won Estonia's National Chemistry Olympiad at 16, and earned dual master's degrees in wind energy and electrical power systems from Delft University of Technology.
Before arriving at his centrifugal breakthrough, Juri designed and ruled out nearly 200 theoretical electrolyzer systems, filing three patents and validating over 90% efficiency in lab conditions.
Juri co-founded Spiral Hydrogen in 2024 alongside Fedor Stomakhin, secured acceptance into the YES!Delft accelerator, and was recognized as a Deep Tech Pioneer by Hello Tomorrow from 4,800+ global applicants.
Spiral Hydrogen raised a 2.7M euro pre-seed round led by byFounders, Norrsken Evolve, and Superangel, and signed its first paid pilot at the Port of Rotterdam targeting a 250B euro decarbonization market.
