Spiral Hydrogen is an Estonian-Dutch deep-tech startup developing a centrifugal, bubble-free alkaline electrolyzer that achieves over 90% efficiency by eliminating the gas bubbles that cause conventional electrolyzers to lose up to 30% of input energy. Founded in 2024 and based in Delft, Netherlands, the company aims to make green hydrogen cheaper than fossil-based hydrogen, targeting a 250 billion euro decarbonization market across refining, fertilizers, steel, and heavy transport. Backed by byFounders, Norrsken Evolve, and Superangel, Spiral is deploying its first pilot at the Port of Rotterdam in partnership with SwitcH2.
