Justin McLeod

Justin McLeod is the Founder and CEO of Overtone, a New York-based AI-powered modern matchmaking company, and the legendary creator of Hinge, one of the world's leading dating apps.
Justin grew up in Louisville, KY, studied at Colgate University, and after a stint in management consulting, earned his MBA from Harvard Business School before founding Hinge in 2011.
A self-described romantic and protagonist of a real-life love story, Justin has built his career on the conviction that technology can help people find lasting, meaningful relationships rather than fuel endless swiping.
At Hinge, Justin grew revenue from under $1 million in 2017 to roughly $400 million by 2023, led the company through its acquisition by Match Group, and positioned it on track to reach $1 billion in annual revenue by 2027.
With Overtone, Justin raised $18 million in seed funding from FirstMark Capital, Pace Capital, and Match Group, assembling a board that includes renowned psychotherapist Esther Perel and Match Group CEO Spencer Rascoff to reimagine dating through voice, AI, and curated introductions.
