Kévin Surbled

Kévin Surbled is Co-Founder, COO and CTO at WheelMove, a French medtech startup developing a patented, lightweight electric power-assist attachment that transforms any manual wheelchair into an all-terrain, electrically assisted device in seconds.
Surbled trained as an electrical and mechanical engineer at ENSEM Nancy and spent 14 years in automotive powertrain and transmission development, including seven years in R&D, testing, and validation management at Poclain.
Driven by a personal connection to disability, Surbled co-developed WheelMove alongside more than 200 wheelchair users, caregivers, occupational therapists, and medical device distributors to ensure the solution is truly user-centered.
WheelMove has secured backing from BPIFrance, Handilab, APF France Handicap, HEC Challenge+ Paris, and the Fondation Hopale, and was selected as one of seven startups to represent the Hauts-de-France region at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
WheelMove was named a finalist for the Best of CES 2026 awards, has presales open in France with letters of intent from resellers in Spain, Belgium, Germany, and Australia, and is targeting US distribution by 2027 ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympic Games.
