Kevin Berghoff

Kevin Berghoff is CEO and Co-Founder of QuantumDiamonds, a Munich-based deep tech company pioneering quantum sensing technology for semiconductor inspection that is already engaged with nine of the world's top ten chip manufacturers.
Kevin completed his studies at the Technical University of Munich before joining McKinsey and Company, where he advised high-tech companies on growth strategies, and also held roles at Roland Berger and Mountain Partners.
A self-described business strategist rather than quantum physicist, Kevin focuses on commercializing breakthrough science, driving the launch of the QD m.0, the world's first commercial quantum device for microchip quality inspection.
Kevin co-founded QuantumDiamonds in 2022 alongside CTO Dr. Fleming Bruckmaier as a TUM spinout, securing a total of 91 million euros in funding including a 15 million euro Series A led by World Fund and 76 million euros in EU Chips Act non-dilutive grants.
Under Kevin's leadership, QuantumDiamonds has deployed systems in the U.S. and Taiwan, employs 70 people with plans to double its engineering team, and is building a 152 million euro production facility in Munich to set the global standard for next-generation chip inspection.
