Marina Rigau is Co-Founder and CEO of MiMARK Diagnostics, a Barcelona-based femtech spinoff pioneering gynecological fluid-based liquid biopsy diagnostics to close critical gaps in women's health.

Marina studied Biology at the University of Barcelona, earned her PhD in Biomedicine at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), and later completed an Executive MBA at IESE Business School while serving as Director of Organization and People at IDIBELL.

Marina's thesis research on prostate cancer biomarkers led to a patent transferred to VHIR's first spinoff, and winning the EIT Health Wild Card competition in 2020 was the pivotal moment that launched her entrepreneurial journey with MiMARK.

She co-founded MiMARK in 2021 alongside CSO Eva Colas and CMO Antonio Gil-Moreno, and is also a board member at Amadix, bringing deep cross-sector expertise in biomedical research and institutional strategy.

MiMARK has raised over 4.2M EUR in seed funding and secured prestigious grants including the EIC Accelerator (2.5M EUR) and EIT Health Wild Card (1.5M EUR), with its flagship WomEC test achieving 99% sensitivity for endometrial cancer detection.
