Naga Bharath Daka

Naga Bharath Daka is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Skyroot Aerospace, India's pioneering private space launch vehicle company, where he leads operations, avionics, and guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) teams.
An IIT Madras alumnus with a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Microelectronics and VLSI Design, Naga honed his expertise as a Flight Computer Engineer at ISRO's Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, building onboard computer modules for launch vehicles, before working at Xilinx as a Senior Product Applications Engineer.
Driven by the vision of making space access as routine as commercial air travel, Naga co-founded Skyroot in 2018 alongside fellow ISRO scientist Pawan Kumar Chandana to democratize affordable orbital launch for the global small-satellite market.
Under his operational leadership, Skyroot achieved a historic milestone in November 2022 by successfully launching Vikram-S, India's first privately developed rocket, and has since advanced the Vikram-I orbital launch vehicle toward its first orbital mission in 2026.
Skyroot has grown to over 1,000 employees, raised USD 160 million at a unicorn valuation of USD 1.1 billion from marquee investors including GIC and Temasek, and earned the Young Turk Startup of the Year award at the India Business Leader Awards 2023.
