Nigel Purves

Nigel Purves is Co-Founder and CEO of Wayhome, a London-based fintech pioneering Gradual Homeownership, a part-buy, part-rent model that enables people to purchase a home with just a 5% deposit and no mortgage.
Nigel holds a BA (Hons) in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge and launched his career in management consulting at OC&C Strategy Consultants before venturing into the startup world as COO of TicketText.
During his startup journey, Nigel taught himself to code and built a property technology platform enabling landlords to rent directly to tenants, which became the founding insight behind Wayhome.
Nigel co-founded Wayhome in 2016 alongside Josef Wasinski and has led the company through multiple funding rounds, securing a Series A backed by Allianz X, Augmentum Fintech, Love Ventures, and Cur8 Capital.
Wayhome has raised over $26M in total funding, partnered with major institutional investors including Allianz GI, and is disrupting the UK housing market by making homeownership accessible to those locked out by traditional mortgages.
