Wayhome is a London-based fintech and proptech company that offers a Gradual Homeownership model, a hybrid part-buy, part-rent system allowing buyers to purchase a home worth up to 10x household income with only a 5% deposit and no mortgage. Institutional investors such as pension funds co-fund the property purchase and earn inflation-linked rent on the share the occupier does not yet own, creating a win-win for both homebuyers and investors. Founded in 2016 by Nigel Purves and Josef Wasinski, Wayhome is targeting the UK residential property market and has raised over $26M across three funding rounds from investors including Allianz X, Augmentum Fintech, Love Ventures, and Cur8 Capital.
