Paul Le Floch

Paul Le Floch is the Co-Founder and CEO of Axoft, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based neurotechnology company pioneering bio-inspired implantable Brain-Computer Interfaces (iBCIs) to transform how neurological disorders are diagnosed and treated.
Originally from France, Paul earned his PhD in mechanical engineering and materials science from Harvard's John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2021, where he conducted groundbreaking research in soft materials and bioelectronics.
A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree (Science, 2022) and recipient of the Materials Research Society Graduate Student Gold Award, Paul has published landmark research in Nature Nanotechnology and Nature Neuroscience, and holds exclusive IP licenses from both Harvard and Stanford Universities.
Paul co-founded Axoft in 2021 to commercialize Fleuron, a proprietary implant material up to 10,000x softer than conventional polyimide, earning FDA Breakthrough Device Designation and completing first-in-human clinical trials across 11 patients globally.
Axoft has raised over $60 million in total funding including an oversubscribed $55M Series A, with clinical collaborations at Mass General Brigham and The Panama Clinic, targeting a $400B neurotechnology market opportunity.
