Sampsa Vuori

Sampsa Vuori is Co-Founder and COO at Reduciner, a Finnish deep tech startup commercializing a breakthrough thermochemical technology that converts captured CO2 into carbon monoxide for use as sustainable fuel and industrial raw materials.
Sampsa holds a Master of Engineering in Technology Management from Lapland University of Applied Sciences and built his career in industrial operations at companies including Outokumpu and SMA Mineral AB before joining VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland as an operations specialist.
With deep roots in hard-to-abate industries such as lime, steel, and mining, Sampsa brings rare operational expertise to the challenge of industrial decarbonization, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world deployment.
At VTT, Sampsa served as Operations Lead on the Reduciner project before co-founding the company in 2025 alongside CEO Johanna Gronroos and CTO Eemeli Tsupari, bringing the technology from pilot validation to commercial readiness.
Reduciner secured EUR 3.6 million in seed funding from Voima Ventures, Lifeline Ventures, and the Mikko Kodisoja Foundation, and is now building a 1MW industrial pilot plant in Finland targeting hard-to-abate sectors that collectively emit more CO2 than aviation and marine transport combined.
