Sparsh Agarwal is Co-Founder and President of Alt Carbon, a deeptech science and data company building agricultural infrastructure for carbon dioxide removal (CDR) in South Asia through Enhanced Rock Weathering.

Sparsh holds a degree in International Climate Law from the University of Oxford and previously served as Chief of Staff at the Centre for Policy Research and Managing Director at Rajan Overseas.

Sparsh co-founded Alt Carbon alongside his brother Shrey Agarwal, inspired by their family's struggling tea estate in Darjeeling, channeling that personal mission into a climate revolution rooted in the Global South.

Under Sparsh's leadership, Alt Carbon raised India's largest-ever climate tech seed round of $12M, secured a $500K pre-purchase from Frontier, and signed landmark offtake and partnership agreements with MOL Group and Mitsubishi Corporation.

Alt Carbon has already removed approximately 10,000 tonnes of CO2, operates labs in Darjeeling and Bengaluru with 8 to 10 PhDs, and is targeting the removal of 5 million metric tons of CO2 across 500,000 hectares by 2030.
