Théo Bondarec

Théo Bondarec is Co-Founder and Head of AI and Deployments at Alta Ares, a French defense tech startup developing AI-powered anti-drone and aerial defense systems for NATO-aligned armed forces.
Théo studied at ISEN (Institut Supérieur de l'Electronique et du Numérique) in Lille, where he built deep expertise in computer vision and large-scale machine learning.
As the company's computer vision expert and CTO for large-scale machine learning, Théo leads the AI architecture behind Alta Ares's real-time video analysis platforms, Gamma and Ulixes, designed to operate without cloud connectivity in active combat zones.
Alta Ares raised a 2M euro Seed round backed by Expansion Venture Capital, Starburst Ventures, and Kima Ventures, and has since announced a 50M euro Series A led by Air Street Capital with Cherry VC, OTB Ventures, and Harpoon Ventures.
Alta Ares won the NATO Innovation Challenge 2025, had its anti-drone technology validated by NATO at a French Ministry of Armed Forces test site, and is actively deployed in Ukraine and the Middle East with a team of approximately 70 people.
