Tianyang Ye

Tianyang Ye is the Co-Founder and CTO of Axoft, a Harvard-born neurotechnology company developing bio-inspired, ultra-soft implantable devices to enable long-term communication with the nervous system.
Ye earned his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University, where his research focused on bioelectronics at the intersection of nanotechnology and bio-engineering, and later served as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Harvard's Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department.
Ye was selected as an Activate Fellow and has published groundbreaking work in Nature Biomedical Engineering and Nature Nanotechnology, and built the world's first high-throughput intracellular electrophysiology platforms, CMOS Nano-electrode Array (CNEA) and CMOS Neuro-electronic Interface (CNEI).
Prior to co-founding Axoft, Ye was a Fellow at Harvard's Office of Technology Development, where he translated academic research into industry applications and developed commercialization roadmaps for lab innovations.
Axoft has raised over $63M in total funding including a $55M Series A, received FDA Breakthrough Device designation, and has successfully tested its Fleuron neural implant in 11 patients across clinical sites in Panama and Shanghai.
