Valentijn Destoop

Valentijn Destoop is Chief Product Officer at Bar.on, a Belgian beverage technology company that developed the world's first molecular beer printer capable of creating multiple beer styles in seconds. Bar.on partners with VIB/KU Leuven to bring molecular mixing technology to B2B and B2C markets.
Valentijn co-founded Little Miss Robot in 2009, a pioneering Belgian digital product design studio, and later founded Wonderland in 2014, an innovation and venture studio that assists companies in building startup capacities. He studied at Antwerp Management School and is currently pursuing an Executive PhD.
Valentijn has over 15 years of experience as a UX expert and creative director, working at the intersection of strategy, creativity and technology. He scaled Hack the Future from 120 participants in 2014 to 800 students, making it Belgium's largest hackathon.
Bar.on raised 1.8 million euros in seed funding in 2022 from investors including Astanor Ventures, Exceptional Ventures, Thia Ventures, Food Ventures, and Wolfman.one. The company is based in Antwerp and Leuven, Belgium.
Bar.on's One Tap technology bypasses fermentation and reduces the ecological footprint by eliminating the need to ship 90% water content in beer. The molecular beer printer can produce blonde, brown, IPA, triple, and non-alcoholic variants with customizable alcohol percentage, bitterness, fruitiness, and sweetness.
