Neubond
Neubond is an Imperial College London spinout from the Department of Bioengineering that has developed a wearable neuromuscular bracelet for at-home stroke rehabilitation. The device uses precision sensors to detect faint muscle activation signals and delivers real-time sensory feedback to patients, helping the brain rebuild lost neural pathways through neuroplasticity. Integrated with a digital monitoring app, the platform enables clinicians to remotely track patient progress, rehabilitation quality, and muscle contraction data without in-person visits. The technology is being advanced toward MHRA regulatory certification in the UK, with future potential applications in Parkinson's disease, spinal cord injury, and exoskeleton control interfaces.
