Pranos Fusion is a Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup developing compact magnetic fusion energy technology. The company is building a vertically integrated fusion technology stack comprising PRAGYA (a compact tokamak platform), JENGA (plasma-control and design software), and MAGGA (a high-temperature superconducting magnet program). By combining advanced plasma control and HTS magnets in a low-aspect-ratio design, Pranos aims to achieve longer confinement times and higher magnetic fields in a significantly smaller physical footprint than traditional fusion machines. Backed by leading Indian VCs and prominent angels, the company collaborates with the Institute for Plasma Research, JNCASR, and the global ITER project, with first plasma targeted for 2026.
