
Aaron Levie is Co-Founder and CEO at Box, a leading enterprise cloud content management platform serving Fortune 500 companies. He co-founded Box in 2005 with Dylan Smith while attending the University of Southern California.
Aaron attended USC from 2003 to 2005, studying business before dropping out during his junior year to launch Box. The idea originated from a college business project examining cloud storage options for businesses.
Aaron secured initial funding with a cold email to Mark Cuban that resulted in a $350,000 investment. He has been recognized as Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year and named to Forbes 30 Under 30.
Box went public on the New York Stock Exchange in January 2015, raising $175 million at $14 per share. The company raised over $500 million in venture funding from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, and General Atlantic before its IPO.
Box serves over 40% of Fortune 500 companies and has grown to more than 2,100 employees with close to $900 million in annual revenue. The company pivoted from consumer focus to enterprise in 2007, positioning itself as a leader in secure cloud content collaboration.
