YC-Backed Vector Raises $10M Series A for Contact-Level Ad Platform

SignalFire and HubSpot Ventures lead round for Boston startup solving B2B's anonymous visitor problem with AI-powered contact identification and ad orchestration.

YC-Backed Vector Raises $10M Series A for Contact-Level Ad Platform

The pitch sounds straightforward enough: What if B2B marketers could stop guessing which anonymous website visitors actually matter, and start advertising directly to them?

Vector, a Boston startup that emerged from Y Combinator's Winter 2023 cohort, thinks it has the answer. On May 13, 2026, the company announced it had raised $10 million in Series A funding from SignalFire and HubSpot Ventures, betting that the future of account-based marketing hinges not on identifying companies browsing your site, but on pinpointing the actual people behind those clicks.

It's a subtle distinction, perhaps, but one that founders Joshua Perk and Nick Masters—both Drift veterans with U.S. Air Force backgrounds—believe represents what they've taken to calling "the afterlife of ABM."

The problem Vector is tackling won't surprise anyone running a B2B marketing operation. You know people are visiting your website. You can see the sessions piling up in Google Analytics. But who are they? Which ones work at your target accounts? And how do you turn that intelligence into something more than a sales rep's cold email?

Account-based marketing platforms like 6sense, Dealfront's Leadfeeder, and Apollo have built businesses on company-level identification. Vector's bet is that contact-level precision—knowing it was Sarah Chen from Acme Corp's procurement team, not just someone from Acme—makes all the difference when you're spending money on LinkedIn or Google ads.

Beyond Guesswork

The company's current technical approach uses device fingerprinting and identity signals from CRM tools including HubSpot, Salesloft, and Outreach. Once Vector identifies a visitor, it syncs that contact as a targetable audience across major ad platforms: LinkedIn, Google, Meta, Reddit. The aim is closing what has been, for most B2B marketers, a frustrating gap between web traffic and paid media spend.

Vector won't disclose revenue figures or customer counts. But SignalFire's investor note described 10x year-over-year growth, and the startup has been moving quickly—launching audience sync capabilities across ad platforms last November, then partnering with Clay in February to push enriched contact lists straight into advertising channels.

Now, flush with fresh capital, the company plans to build what it's calling an AI-powered ad automation layer. There's also "Vector MCP," an interface that lets marketers query ad performance and buyer activity using natural language—think asking "which contacts from our enterprise segment engaged with our LinkedIn campaign last week?" instead of building manual reports.

SignalFire described Vector in its investor note as a "system of intelligence" for B2B paid go-to-market, language that suggests the startup has ambitions beyond being just another martech point solution.

The HubSpot Factor

HubSpot Ventures coming in as co-lead carries its own implications. The CRM giant has historically shown a pattern of investing in companies it eventually integrates deeply into its ecosystem—sometimes before acquiring them outright. Neither Vector nor HubSpot outlined specific product integration plans in the May announcement, but it's hard not to wonder what deeper ties might emerge.

For now, Vector is operating with a team of around 20, according to its Y Combinator profile. Small, but not unusual for an early-stage infrastructure play in a category where the sales cycles are long and the deals are complex.

The market they're entering is hardly empty. Attribution and visitor identification have become cottage industries unto themselves, with legacy players and startups alike racing to solve the same fundamental challenge: making B2B web traffic legible, targetable, measurable.

Whether contact-level precision proves to be the unlock marketers have been waiting for—or just another layer of complexity in an already convoluted stack—will likely depend on how well Vector can translate technical capability into outcomes that justify the investment. The funding gives them runway to find out.

The real test, as with most early-stage enterprise software, won't be the technology. It'll be whether the people holding marketing budgets believe the ROI story strongly enough to rip out whatever they're using now.
