Hopper is a French social-economy startup founded at IMT Mines Albi in collaboration with Airbus. The company designs and manufactures eco-responsible carbon running blades and dynamic prostheses for lower-limb amputees, using recycled carbon fiber waste from Airbus A350 aircraft production lines. Positioned at the intersection of medtech, adaptive sports, and sustainability, Hopper aims to eliminate financial, technical, and psychological barriers to sport participation for amputees worldwide. Its blades are sold at 30 to 50 percent below market price and are distributed through ortho-prosthetists across France and Europe, with active international expansion underway.
