Ahmed Abaza is the Co-Founder and CEO of Synapse Analytics, an AI-powered decisioning infrastructure company serving regulated financial institutions across the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

Ahmed studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at The German University in Cairo, and built expertise across enterprise IT roles at Oracle, digital transformation consulting at Firnas Consulting, and business development at AMSOL.

A pioneer who began working in AI in 2017 before it became mainstream, Ahmed is a vocal advocate for making AI trustworthy and accessible, championing the idea that adoption is everything when it comes to AI success.

Ahmed successfully transitioned Synapse from a service-based model to a product-led company, raising multiple investment rounds totaling $17M and expanding operations into seven markets across three continents.

Synapse Analytics has supported over $200M in lending, helped clients reduce non-performing loans by up to 40%, and serves more than 50 live institutions across the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
