Ahmed Marmoush is Co-Founder and CEO at Handl Health, an AI-powered healthcare price transparency platform helping benefits consultants design and manage affordable health plans. Ahmed comes from a family of pharmacists who immigrated from the Middle East to New Zealand when he was a child.

Ahmed practiced clinical pharmacy for four years before going back to business school for a post-grad diploma in health management. He then spent 10 years in healthcare management consulting as one of the digital health leaders at Ernst & Young helping healthcare systems and payers across the US, UK and New Zealand build new digital businesses and products.

Ahmed and Ria founded Handl Health in 2022 after being awarded a grant from the National Institute of Health to research the impact of price transparency legislation on the American employer and consumer. Ahmed's global experience provides him with a unique perspective on the drivers of success in high value, cost controlled health systems.

Handl Health has secured $14.2 million in Series A funding led by Arthur Ventures, which included follow-on investment from Syndra Capital Partners and another strategic investor. Over the past two years, Handl has partnered with employers to reevaluate their network strategy and benefits design, identifying a reported $113 million in savings across nearly $1 billion in healthcare spend.

The company also powers alternative health plans that have reportedly reduced consumer costs by 22% on shoppable procedures. Handl Health was a Techstars Healthcare '23 graduate and has been recognized for bringing transparency to employer-sponsored healthcare through proprietary AI models that clean and organize publicly available pricing data at scale.
