Alain Le Berre is Co-Founder and President of Fibraterre, a Normandy-based manufacturer of low-carbon insulation panels made from wheat straw for new builds and renovations.
Alain graduated from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne in 2004 and co-founded the social data company Linkfluence in 2006. He also spent about 10 years in the social housing sector.
Alain brings 20 years of experience in innovative projects and serves as CEO and CTO within the four-person founding team. His mission is to offer a low-carbon industrial insulation solution that fits current construction methods.
Fibraterre was incorporated in July 2024 and closed its first funding round of 1.8M euros in October 2026, led by UTC Alumni and Side Angels with Normandie Participations and Bpifrance. The company is also backed by Normandie Incubation, and the Normandy Region granted it over 1.1M euros in subsidies in December 2025.
Fibraterre produced its first panel samples in spring 2025 and now builds its first industrial unit in Oissel to automate and scale production. Linkfluence, his earlier venture, grew to about 200 employees, raised over 18M euros in a single round and was acquired by Meltwater.
