Alex Shan is the Co-Founder and CEO of Judgment Labs, an AI infrastructure company building the continuous improvement layer for production AI agents.

Alex studied at Stanford University where he conducted AI research at Stanford's NLP group within the Stanford AI Lab under Professor Chris Manning, developing deep expertise in language models and agent evaluation.

Alex co-founded Judgment Labs at age 22 alongside childhood friends, driven by the conviction that teams building deep agents lacked the tools to understand what their agents were actually doing in production.

Prior to Judgment Labs, Alex held research and engineering roles at Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL), Juniper Networks, and Hinkal, building a strong technical foundation across AI research and systems.

Judgment Labs has raised $32M across Seed and Series A rounds led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with the platform already in production at agent-native companies and delivering results such as a 55% reduction in customer-visible errors for legal AI deployments.
