Alexander Schulz is the CTO and Founder of CONUS (YC F26), the AI knowledge layer for surgery that connects medical device manufacturers with hospitals across Europe.
Alexander earned his Bachelor of Science from Cologne University of Applied Sciences and is currently pursuing his Master of Science at RWTH Aachen University, building deep expertise in electrical engineering and embedded systems.
With hands-on experience in high-speed analog and mixed-signal electronics, FPGA-based signal processing, and embedded software at Miltenyi Biotec, Alexander brings rare hardware-to-software depth to the surgical AI space.
Prior to CONUS, Alexander also drove CNC process development and CAM workflow automation at Spanwinkel GmbH, giving him a strong foundation in industrial software and manufacturing systems.
CONUS is already live in 17 European hospitals and works with leading manufacturers including Johnson and Johnson, Stryker, and Zimmer Biomet, with a long-term vision to become the Amazon for surgical implants.
