Ali Ertürk is Founder and CEO of Deep Piction, an AI-driven biotechnology company accelerating therapeutic development for deadly diseases like cancer and Alzheimer's. He is also Director of the Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine at Helmholtz Munich and Full Professor at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.

Ali earned his PhD at Max Planck Institute for Neurobiology in Munich and completed postdoctoral research at Genentech Inc. He studied Biochemistry at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.

Ali invented the revolutionary DISCO tissue clearing technology that makes whole organs transparent for 3D imaging at cellular level. He won the 2024 Falling Walls Award in Life Sciences for integrating tissue clearing with AI to reduce animal testing.

Ali founded two biotech companies, Deep Piction (2022) and 1X1 Biotech, both focused on AI-driven drug discovery. His research has been published in top journals including Cell and Nature, with multiple cover features.

Ali's DISCO technologies are used by scientists worldwide to study diseases ranging from cancer to neurodegeneration. His work aims to create digital twins of human organs to revolutionize drug development and personalized medicine.
