Amadou Daffe is the Co-Founder and CEO of Gebeya Inc., a Pan-African SaaS-enabled talent marketplace headquartered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, that identifies top African tech talent and matches them with global opportunities.
Originally from Senegal, Daffe arrived in the US in 1994 to study, earning a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Information Systems from Drexel and Temple Universities, before spending nearly a decade as a software engineer at major US corporate IT firms.
Driven by the vision that Africa's youth could power the global digital economy, Daffe relocated to Ethiopia in 2016 and co-founded Gebeya to build a world-class, Africa-based tech talent infrastructure that could compete on the global stage.
Prior to Gebeya, Daffe co-founded CODERS4AFRICA in 2010, a not-for-profit organization that trained African software developers across Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, and beyond, before transitioning it into a for-profit firm in 2014.
Gebeya has expanded to 32 African countries, raised over $11M from investors including Partech, Orange Digital Ventures, and IFC, was named Best Talent Cloud Provider in Africa 2024, and Daffe was a top 10 finalist out of 21,000 applicants in the Jack Ma Foundation's Africa's Business Heroes 2022 competition.
