Anatol Maier is Co-Founder of Neuramancer AI Solutions, a Bavarian deep-tech startup building Europe's most forensically rigorous deepfake detection platform for media, insurance, and enterprise use cases.

A trained mathematician and computer scientist, Anatol spent over four years as a research associate in media forensics at Friedrich-Alexander-Universitat Erlangen-Nurnberg (FAU), where he developed the core detection methodology that underpins Neuramancer's proprietary algorithms.

Anatol champions a scientifically grounded, fully transparent AI approach, using probabilistic modelling and forensic signal analysis rather than opaque black-box models, positioning Neuramancer as a compliance-ready solution under the EU AI Act.

He co-founded Neuramancer (formerly Neuraforge) alongside Anika Gruner, secured backing from Vanagon Ventures, Bayern Kapital, ZOHO.VC, and Lightfield Equity, and has been selected for the ZOLLHOF Tech Incubator Batch 10.

Neuramancer has closed a 1.7M euro pre-seed round, grown to a team of 11, secured its first pilot customers in the insurance sector, and is recognized by Media Lab Bayern and supported by Microsoft Founders Hub.
