Andrei Voicu Tomut is Co-Founder and CEO at Apeiron Intelligence, a Barcelona-based deep tech spin-off from ICN2 and ICREA that is redefining how engineers design next-generation materials through AI-powered simulation.

Andrei holds an MSc in Quantum Science and Technology from Universitat de Barcelona and a BSc in Physics from Babes-Bolyai University, with additional quantum computing credentials from The Coding School.

An expert in AI software development and quantum computing, Andrei has co-authored peer-reviewed research and is driven by the belief that the bottleneck in innovation is not ideas but the time it takes to test them.

Prior to co-founding Apeiron Intelligence, Andrei served as a Quantum Computing Engineer at Multiverse Computing, a Research Assistant at ICN2 and Aalto University, and a CERN openlab Summer Student in 2021.

Apeiron Intelligence has secured 660,000 euros in its first funding round and showcased its platform at Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2026, targeting breakthrough applications across semiconductors, aerospace, automotive, and quantum technologies.
