
Andrey Gizdov is Co-Founder of OpenVector (YC S26), an AI platform that transforms any existing security camera into an autonomous, real-time operational workforce.
Andrey pursued a PhD in Computer Vision at Harvard, conducting research on compute-efficient and cognitively inspired multimodal models alongside leading researchers at Harvard, MIT, and the Weizmann Institute, before dropping out to build OpenVector.
A Fulbright Scholar, Andrey has published research at top venues including CVPR (spotlight) and ECCV, and has lived and worked across 6 countries, speaking 4 languages.
Prior to OpenVector, Andrey conducted computer vision research at the Weizmann AI Center and co-won a Google prize at an MIT hackathon, where he first connected with his co-founder Vishal Urlam.
OpenVector was accepted into Y Combinator's Summer 2026 batch and is backed by a $500K YC investment, enabling businesses to automate physical operations across industries without any new hardware.
