Anis Mihrshahi is Co-Founder of GutGutGoose, a Y Combinator-backed biotech startup developing AI-powered personalised probiotics based on individual gut microbiome sequencing.
Anis is an Information Technology student at the University of Southern Queensland, where he holds the Chancellor's Excellence Scholarship in AI and Data Science, and is the youngest ever Math Olympiad champion in Queensland history.
At GutGutGoose, Anis co-built the mechanistic algorithm powering the personalised probiotic engine and oversees company operations, blending deep technical expertise with a passion for applying AI to longitudinal health data.
Anis and co-founder Leon Mojarrabi were accepted into Y Combinator (S26), one of just 0.33% of applicants globally, securing US$500,000 in funding to scale their platform; GutGutGoose was also an alumnus of the LuminaX HealthTech Accelerator 2025.
GutGutGoose's personalised probiotics are 16 times more successful at establishing in the gut than standard products, and the company is building a longitudinal microbiome dataset with the long-term goal of predicting chronic disease years before symptoms appear.
