
Aukrit Unahalekhaka is Co-Founder and CEO (Thailand) of Ricult, a venture-backed AgriFintech social enterprise that uses machine learning and satellite imagery to help smallholder farmers in Thailand and Pakistan increase productivity and access affordable financing.
Growing up in a Thai farming family, Aukrit earned a joint Master's in Engineering and Management from MIT, where he was a Legatum Center Fellow, and previously worked as a software engineer at Cisco in Silicon Valley and a consultant at Accenture in Boston.
Named an Obama Foundation Leader, Thai Startup CEO of the Year by the Prime Minister of Thailand (2020 and 2022), and one of ASEAN-Australia's Top Social Entrepreneurs Under 35, Aukrit also serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Chulalongkorn University.
Ricult has raised over $11M from investors including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, 500 Global, Bualuang Ventures, and Credit Suisse, and has won the Global Social Venture Competition for best Social Enterprise in Southeast Asia and Oceania.
Ricult's platform now serves over one million farmers, has boosted crop yields by an average of 50% and farmer profits by 30 to 40%, and has expanded operations across Thailand, Pakistan, and neighboring Asian markets.
