
Dr. Avi Schroeder is Co-Founder of Peel Therapeutics and a tenured Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, where he heads the Laboratory for Targeted Drug Delivery and Personalized Medicine Technologies.
Dr. Schroeder completed his PhD jointly at Hebrew and Ben Gurion Universities and conducted postdoctoral studies at MIT, becoming an internationally recognized pioneer in nanotechnology and nanoscale drug delivery.
He is the author of over 60 research papers and inventor of 19 patents, and has received more than 30 national and international awards including the KAVLI Fellowship, Intel Nanotechnology Award, and Wolf Foundation Krill Prize.
Dr. Schroeder co-founded Peel Therapeutics in 2015 after meeting Dr. Joshua Schiffman at a medical conference in Israel, combining his drug delivery expertise with Schiffman's oncology background to pioneer evolution-inspired cancer therapies using lipid nanoparticle technology.
Peel Therapeutics has raised over $36M in seed financing and initiated a Phase 1 clinical trial for PEEL-224 in advanced solid tumors, while Dr. Schroeder has also co-founded additional biotech ventures including Moebius Medical and ViAqua Therapeutics.
