
Benji Loney is Co-Founder and CPO at TrustLab, an advanced AI platform helping the world's largest social media platforms, governments, and businesses identify and mitigate harmful online content including misinformation, hate speech, and identity fraud.
Benji holds an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of International Business from Carleton University, bringing deep academic grounding in business strategy and global operations.
A veteran trust and safety leader, Benji built and led YouTube and TikTok's Trust and Safety teams through defining crises including the rise of ISIS and child safety threats, giving him firsthand expertise in the industry's hardest challenges.
Prior to co-founding TrustLab, Benji served as Chief of Staff at Reddit, leading technical strategy and planning including internationalization and Covid response, and as Director of Trust and Safety at ByteDance, where he established abuse-fighting frameworks for TikTok outside China.
TrustLab has raised $15M in a Series A round led by U.S. Venture Partners and Foundation Capital, and has deployed its technology with leading social networks, messaging platforms, and marketplaces across the globe.
