Cal Lavicka is Co-Founder and CTO at Assert Labs, a software development company building the world's best code review tooling for the AI era, based in San Francisco.

Cal earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University (2016-2020) and went on to become a Staff Software Engineer at Bubble, a leading no-code platform.

Cal brings deep full-stack engineering expertise and a conviction that code review sits at the center of how serious teams ship high-quality software, believing craft and attention to detail will only grow in value as AI-generated code proliferates.

Prior to Assert Labs, Cal honed his skills at Bubble as a Staff Engineer, building a strong foundation in scalable software systems before making the leap to co-found his own venture.

Assert Labs is building tools to make software verifiably correct, faster, safer, and easier to maintain, operating out of a cozy Mission District office in San Francisco with an elite team of engineers and researchers.
