Carlos Ferreira is Co-Founder, Board Member, and CEO of A5X, Brazil's next-generation derivatives and futures exchange platform. He brings over 25 years of experience in the Brazilian financial market, having been a key figure in the transformation of XP Inc. into one of the largest financial institutions in the country.

Carlos previously held executive roles at XP Investimentos, XP Inc., Hedging-Griffo, and SLW Corretora de Valores e Cambio. He holds an Executive MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from Ibmec (2005-2006).

Carlos's experience navigating regulatory issues, building high-performance teams, and developing innovative products is crucial to A5X's success. His leadership is characterized by a focus on results, constant pursuit of excellence, and genuine commitment to transforming the Brazilian derivatives market.

A5X was founded in 2023 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, by Carlos and co-founders Karel Luketic, Nilson Monteiro, and Julian Chediak. The company has raised a total of 385 million reais ($72.6 million) since its inception.

A5X is scheduled to begin regulatory testing by Q4 2025 before launching commercially in H1 2026. The new exchange introduces competition to B3's monopoly and aims to lead more efficient and cost-effective trading options for market participants.
