Chris Choo is Co-Founder and CTO of Micora, a Y Combinator backed startup building solar-farm-in-a-box microgrids that ship anywhere and deploy without specialized labor.
Chris previously designed robot drivetrains and handled manufacturing at Serve Robotics, worked on semiconductors at Infineon, and deployed solar and battery storage systems at Tesla.
His background spans power electronics, robotics hardware, and microgrid deployment, giving him a rare view of both the energy and manufacturing sides of the problem.
Micora joined Y Combinator's Fall 2026 batch and is based in San Francisco with a founding team of three co-founders.
Micora's system autonomously builds 100kWp of capacity per day and scales to megawatt-class sites, targeting the power gap created by data centers, advanced manufacturing, and electrification.
