David Lazovsky is Co-Founder and CEO of Celestial AI, a pioneer in optical interconnect technology that was acquired by Marvell Technology in December 2025 for up to $5.5 billion. He leads the development of Photonic Fabric, a revolutionary platform enabling optical scale-up connectivity for next-generation AI data centers.

Lazovsky founded Intermolecular in 2004, taking it public on NASDAQ in 2011, and previously held senior management positions at Applied Materials where he managed over $1 billion in semiconductor manufacturing equipment business. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University and was a Venture Partner at Khosla Ventures.

Lazovsky holds over 80 issued and pending U.S. patents in semiconductor technology and photonics. He serves on the boards of POET Technologies and ESS Inc., bringing 30 years of semiconductor industry experience.

Celestial AI raised $589 million in total funding from investors including Fidelity Investments, BlackRock, Tiger Global, Koch Disruptive Technologies, and Temasek, achieving a $2.5 billion valuation in March 2025. The company secured partnerships with major hyperscalers and semiconductor companies.

Under Lazovsky's leadership, Celestial AI developed breakthrough optical interconnect technology that delivers 25 times greater bandwidth at 10 times lower latency than traditional solutions, positioning the company to transform AI infrastructure with projected revenues reaching $1 billion annualized run rate by fiscal 2029.
