David S. Roberts is CEO of 10x Science, a YC W26 company building AI-native software for protein therapeutics that processes data 10x faster than current tools.

David earned his Ph.D. in chemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison and B.S. degrees in chemistry and mathematics from UC San Diego, where he was supported by an American Heart Association predoctoral fellowship.

David is a Damon Runyon Cancer Research Fellow at Stanford University working in Prof. Carolyn Bertozzi's lab, focusing on chemical biology strategies to study glycobiology.

His doctoral work established new intact protein mass spectrometry methodologies and functionalized nanomaterials to address challenges of the human proteome dynamic range and analysis of complex proteins with post-translational modifications.

10x Science's mission is to enable biopharmaceutical development to keep pace with AI-powered drug discovery, addressing the bottleneck created by AI flooding the pipeline with new drug candidates.
