Debasish Chakraborty is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Perfios, a global B2B SaaS fintech unicorn serving over 1,000 financial institutions across 18 countries. He serves as an essential member of the board of directors, providing critical insights to expand Perfios as a fintech leader in the BFSI industry.

Debasish holds a B.Tech from IIT Kharagpur and M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur. He spent several years at Wipro writing optimizing compilers, worked at IBM T J Watson Labs and Almaden Research Labs on device drivers and databases, and was VP of Research at Aztecsoft from 1997 where he developed frameworks and app servers.

With over 30 years of experience in software development, Debasish leads the technical architecture and implementation of Perfios product lines. He co-founded Perfios in 2008 alongside V.R. Govindarajan and Pramod Veturi.

Perfios became India's second unicorn of 2024 after raising $80 million from Teachers' Venture Growth, crossing $1 billion valuation. The company has raised over $441 million in total funding from investors including Warburg Pincus, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Kedaara Capital.

Perfios delivers 8.2 billion data points to financial institutions annually, processes 1.7 billion transactions per year with $36 billion in AUM, and facilitates over 150 million credit decisions annually. The company's revenue grew 37% to Rs 558 crore in FY24 with profit surging 9x to Rs 72 crore.
