Dev Karpe is Co-Founder of Praxis AI (YC F24), a manufacturing AI platform that builds reasoning agents capable of predicting and preventing machine failures in real time.

Dev studied at The Wharton School and previously served as a tech lead at Palantir, where he specialized in converting early-stage enterprise customers in the manufacturing vertical by building AI solutions.

Dev has been passionate about AI and machine learning for over 8 years, dating back to high school when he helped startups in the Cincinnati area optimize their marketing strategies.

Praxis AI was accepted into Y Combinator's Fall 2024 batch and targets the manufacturing sector, where unplanned downtime costs US manufacturers over $50 billion annually.

Dev is also an active angel investor backing ambitious founders, a published columnist, and a record-setting athlete, having completed the Badwater Cape Fear Ultramarathon in 2025 as the youngest finisher.
