Dhiren Mathur is the Co-Founder and CTO of Potpie AI, a San Francisco-based startup building a foundational context layer that enables AI agents to operate intelligently across large, complex enterprise codebases.
Dhiren holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from SRM Institute of Science and Technology and built over 4 years of engineering experience at Cisco Webex, developing highly scalable microservice applications for globally distributed teams.
Recognizing that AI coding tools failed in production due to a lack of deep system context, Dhiren co-founded Potpie to solve the structural challenge of giving AI agents true codebase awareness rather than surface-level code generation.
Prior to Potpie, Dhiren worked as a Software Engineer and Associate Software Developer at Cisco Webex and also contributed to quso.ai, honing expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, and microservices architecture.
Potpie AI raised $2.2M in pre-seed funding led by Emergent Ventures, launched publicly in January 2025, serves Fortune 500 companies in regulated industries, and its open-source projects have surpassed 5,000 stars on GitHub.
