Abhigyan studied at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar, India, and built deep expertise as a production-grade AI engineer and serial open-source contributor across multiple startups.
Alongside co-founder Subham Kundu, Abhigyan has spent nearly half a decade working on knowledge graphs, bringing a rare depth of expertise to the code intelligence space.
Abhigyan created GitNexus in August 2025, an open-source zero-server code intelligence engine that indexes repositories into a queryable knowledge graph, and previously contributed as a principal AI engineer taking products from 0 to 100 at multiple startups.
GitNexus surpassed 44,000 GitHub stars with over 5,000 forks, earned support from Anthropic for open source, and demonstrated a near-doubling of agent bug-fix performance on the DeepSWE benchmark from 37% to 68.4% of tasks passed.
