Abhiraj Singh Bhal is the Co-founder and CEO at Urban Company, the largest home services platform in Asia, with a presence in India, UAE, Singapore and The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Prior to Urban Company, Abhiraj was a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group.
Abhiraj was featured for his entrepreneurial contribution and innovation in Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 (2017), Fortune 40 under 40 (3 years in a row), and Entrepreneur Magazine 35 under 35. He is the chair of the CII Unicorn Council.
UrbanClap was founded in October 2014 by Abhiraj Singh Bhal, Varun Khaitan, and Raghav Chandra. In 2021, Urban Company became a unicorn after raising $188 million in a funding round led by Prosus.
Since its inception in November 2014, Urban Company has served tens of millions of customers across 60 cities through a fleet of nearly 50,000+ trained service professionals. On 17 September 2025, Urban Company was listed on the NSE and BSE after an initial public offering (IPO).
